Terms of Use
Murmur, published by Murmur. Updated 17 October 2026.
The service
Murmur records audio on your device, turns it into text and, if you choose, uses AI to write notes, answer your questions and draw mind maps. By using Murmur you accept these terms.
Recording other people
You are responsible for how you use Murmur. In many countries, recording a conversation requires the consent of everyone taking part. Ask before you record, and respect the law where you are.
AI can make mistakes
Notes, answers and mind maps are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important. Murmur is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial or other).
Your content
Your recordings, transcripts and notes belong to you. You allow us to process their text only to provide the features you use, as described in our privacy policy.
Plans and subscriptions
Murmur is free to start, with monthly limits. Plus and Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play. They renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your store account settings. If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged. Prices and limits are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules.
Fair use
To keep the service fast and affordable, daily limits apply in addition to monthly ones. Don't try to get around them, misuse the service, reverse-engineer it or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access in case of abuse.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Murmur running, but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. If these terms change significantly, we'll tell you in the app.
Liability
Murmur is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for lost data, so keep copies of what matters. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
Apple
If you downloaded Murmur from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for Murmur or its support.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the law of the country where you live.
